Sciences at Lurio University in Nampula. On the 6th June 2023 at the invitation of dr Beatriz , Teacher of nutrition at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Lurio University in Nampula. The Managing director of Crimas Lda, Abdul de Almeida talks about the subject of a food balance forecast to students of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the nutrition course.
During the lecture, the following points were clarified: What is the forecasted food balance, its importance, factors to take into account during its elaboration and how the instrument can help in the decision making process and guarantee food safety at all levels.
At the end of the meeting the students were challenged to make a reflection on how to end the problem of malnutrition and hunger in the country?
Most students pointed to solutions such as:
Invest in agriculture;
Investing in food diversification;
Carrying out lectures on nutritional education;
Invest in the production of food crops in which the country is deficient;
Support the promotion of inclusive business models to develop the capacity of producers to produce more and better.
